President’s Report May 2026
As we wrap up another busy year, I want to take a moment to thank and acknowledge Sam Crosbie for everything he’s done as President of the Old Collegians Association. Sam has led with a huge amount of heart and dedication over the past two terms. He’s left some pretty big shoes to fill, and on behalf of everyone involved, I want to sincerely thank him for his time, energy, and commitment to keeping Old Collegians connected to the College and to each other.
It has been a busy start to 2026 for the St Andrew’s Old Collegians Association, with a number of events already bringing our community together. The Old Collegians network remains a special part of the College, and it is always a pleasure to see alumni continuing to stay connected with St Andrew’s.
One of the highlights so far has been our regional roadshows in Blenheim, Waipara and Methven. These gatherings provided a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with Old Collegians while also meeting prospective families and sharing what makes the St Andrew’s community so special. It was wonderful to see such strong support in these regions and to hear alumni’s many stories and memories.
The Highland Games was another memorable occasion, once again bringing together students, staff, families and Old Collegians for a day celebrating the traditions and spirit of the College. Events like this are a powerful reminder of the strong sense of community that continues long after students leave St Andrew’s.
It was also an honour to celebrate the 60 Years On Reunion, which was an incredibly special night for all involved.
This is an exciting time for the College as we congratulate Mark Wilson on his first full year as Rector. On behalf of the Old Collegians Association, I extend our warm congratulations to Mark.
I look forward to meeting more of you at events throughout the year.
