Project 100

Master Plan for Capital Development

The P100 campaign aims to raise $7 million by 2012, and is critical to support the College’s proposed capital development plan.

The first focus of the plan is to extend the present Science Block to accommodate six new classrooms and accompanying service facilities, such as preparation and technicians’ rooms, tutorial rooms and computer pods. There will be new science laboratories and the relocation of the Mathematics Department, which will allow for a greater synergy between maths and science. Plans are currently being submitted for this exciting development and it is possible that building may begin during this Christmas break.

What does the name P100 mean?

Project 100 relates to the Master Capital Development Plan to be completed by 2017. This is, of course, is our centenary year. The aim of the P100 campaign is to raise $7-million by 2012.

What happens to the money raised through the campaign?

All money raised goes to the St Andrew’s College Foundation. The Foundation currently has a capital value of $4.46 million. The aim is to increase this to $10 million by 2012. Interest from the funds held in the Foundation will be used to support the building projects.

Who can contribute to P100?

Any member of the College community is most welcome to contribute at any level.

What are the levels?

Contributors are encouraged to determine what level is appropriate to their resources.
There are some specific partnership opportunities:

General Gifting
Any amount

Gifts or donations can be spread over time. For example, a gift of $167 a month over five years will purchase a Strowan Club membership.

Is there a taxation refund from making a donation?

Changes to the 2008 Charitable Giving Legislation mean you will be able to claim 33⅓% tax rebate for donations, up to a maximum claim equal to your annual taxable income.
