In 2017 we celebrate the centenary of St Andrew’s College. It is with this in mind that we launch the Strowan Club.

Strowan House is an icon of the College, and indeed of Christchurch. The building has been at the very heart of College life since its foundation in 1917.

The Strowan Club is part of the College’s P100 fund raising effort, and we invite you to join the Strowan Club to help make our plans a reality.

The cost of joining the Strowan Club is $10,000 . There are a number of payment options available. For as little as $167.00 per month, $500.00 a quarter (or $5.50 per day) you can be a member of the Strowan Club. Numbers are limited to just one member for every year of our existence. While the aim of the club is to raise funds for the P100 appeal, you can be assured that in the best of St Andrew’s traditions members of the Strowan Club will celebrate their membership with special functions and preferential invitations to College events.

All funds raised will be deposited within the Foundation, and your contribution will be professionally managed by the Foundation trustees. These funds will be kept in perpetuity in the Foundation, and the interest will be distributed for the ongoing benefit of the College. This is a gift that keeps giving.

The St Andrew's Foundation is a registered charitable trust, and was established to keep St Andrew’s secure and independent. The Foundation’s trustees are of the highest calibre; their governance and management of the Foundation provide longterm financial security and sustainability for the College.

Funds are invested carefully to enhance the capital, and the income generated from that capital can be used for capital projects and scholarships.

The Foundation's work is guided by the College’s Strategic Plan, which has identified key areas of development necessary to secure the longterm future of the College as a leading educational institution.

The Foundation currently has almost $4.5 million dollars that it has received from gifts and bequests. Our goal, however, is ten million dollars, and to reach that target we need your help.

This is a grand opportunity to contribute to the St Andrew’s College while enjoying the social aspect of belonging to the exclusive (but inclusive) Strowan Club. You can be assured of several chances to meet and speak to the Rector and Board Chair. The club aims to raise both funds and friends. Why not join me as a member.
