New Zealand Residents

All fees are reviewed annually.

Boarders pay boarding and tuition fees. Weekly boarders pay the same fees.

2010 Pre-school Fees

1 – 9 hours                                                $8.80 (hourly rate)

10 – 19 hours                                            $8.20 (hourly rate)

20 – 29 hours                                            $7.50 (hourly rate)

30 – 39 hours                                           $6.80 (hourly rate)

40+ hours                                                $6.20 (hourly rate)

Application Fee

$150, non-refundable.

Acceptance Fee

Preparatory School

Years 1 to 6, $400, refunded in Term 1 of the first year.

Years 7 to 8, $400, non refundable.

Secondary School

Years 9 to 13, $400, non-refundable.

Payment of Fees (New Zealand Residents)

From 2010, tuition and boarding fees will be charged in ten equal instalments, January to October, and become payable in the month following. From 2008, Direct Debit became the mandatory method of payment for all new students.

Prepayment of Fees

Details of this College scheme are available from the Financial Accountant. 

Disbursements

Extra costs, such as stationery, outdoor education experiences, co-curricular photographs and external examination fees are charged monthly.

Overdue Accounts

Unpaid accounts attract a penalty of 1.5% of the unpaid balance each month.

Voluntary Building Levy

$600 per year per student - tax deductible. This is charged in four instalments at the beginning of each term.

Fee Discounts

Families with three or more children at the College may receive a 10% discount on tuition fees for the third child and subsequent children who are at school at the same time, providing at least three are full fee paying.

This fee includes subject tuition (except photography), building levy, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and NZ Government taxes. Photography (as a Year 12/13 subject) is $650 per year for materials (students will require their own camera, $600 approximately).

Disbursements

A disbursement bond of $1,000 must be paid with the tuition fees and will be credited to the student's final account. All disbursements are the responsibility of the student and are to be paid monthly.

Homestay Fee

$200 per week plus $10 service fee per week.

NCEA Examination Fees

$400 for 48 or more credits (approximately), $100 per subject for scholarship entry

Insurance

$500 per year (approximately)

Care Provider/Guardian Fees

$3,500 per academic year

Uniform

Extra-Curricular Activities

Payment of International Student Fees

Fees for international students are payable in full and in advance by 30 November in the year preceding the start of a new academic year.
