Enrolment and Fees

Domestic Tuition Fees

The Board of Governors and Executive at St Andrew’s College make every effort to ensure tuition fees are kept to a minimum. Fees are reviewed each year. Careful consideration is given to all factors affecting the cost of providing a high-quality education at the College.

 

2012 Tuition Fees for New Zealand Residents (Per annum, including GST)

Years 1 and 2                       $12,300
Year 3                                   $13,600
Year 4                                   $14,000
Years 5 and 6                        $14,500
Years 7 and 8                        $15,500
Years 9 to 13                         $17,900

Application Fee

$150 (non-refundable)

Acceptance Fee: Preparatory School 

Years 1 to 6                         $400 (refunded in Term 1 of the first year)
Years 7 to 8                         $400 (non-refundable)

Acceptance Fee: Secondary School

$400 (non-refundable)

Payment of Fees (New Zealand Residents)

Tuition and boarding fees are charged in ten equal monthly instalments (January to October) and become payable in the month following. From 2008, Direct Debit became the mandatory method of payment for all new students.

Prepayment of Fees

Details of this College scheme are available from the Financial Accountant upon request. 

Disbursements

Extra costs, such as stationery, outdoor education experiences, co-curricular photographs and external examination fees, are charged monthly.

Overdue Accounts

Unpaid accounts attract a penalty of 1.5% of the unpaid balance each month.

Voluntary Building Levy

This voluntary levy of $900 per year per student (tax deductible) is charged in three instalments in February, May and August.

Fee Discounts

Families with three or more children at the College may receive a 10% discount on tuition fees for the third child and subsequent children attending at the same time provided none receives a scholarship or any other form of financial assistance from the College.

Term 1 is always a very busy one on the school calendar and 2012 will be no exception, with a number of important school events. An exciting celebratory event will be the Official Opening of the New Preparatory School by His Excellency Lieutenant General The Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae, Governor-General of New Zealand, on Thursday 23 February.
