Annual Giving 2011: A Special Earthquake Appeal is about opening doors at St Andrew's College. We need your gift to help us raise the monies to restore Strowan House and the Chapel to a level of safety which comes at a significant cost beyond the insurance payments from the earthquakes. We want to gather in worship under the simple rafters of the Memorial Chapel. We want to meet for meals in Strowan House. We want to offer scholarships to students to study at St Andrew's College so that they can become the geologists, doctors, musicians, farmers, and engineers of a better world.
Annual Giving 2011: A Special Earthquake Appeal breaks all records!
Annual Giving 2011: A Special Earthquake Appeal has broken all records thanks to the amazing generosity of the St Andrew’s College community. Just over $150,000 was raised this year—a tremendous start towards restructuring after the earthquakes.
Gifts arrived from all over the world: Singapore, Malaysia, England, United States of America, France, Hong Kong, Australia. We heard from Old Collegians who had lived in Strowan House, who laid the bricks for the Memorial Chapel, who were married in the Chapel, and who care deeply about the future of St Andrew’s College.
Thank you one and all for your generosity which made this year’s Annual Giving: A Special Earthquake Appeal such a great success.

In 2011 many of you helped us “turn the bricks to red”. We still have a way to go, but we will get there as the solution for all earthquake repairs is defined. Thank you for those who sent support in 2011. Your gifts are wisely invested, earning interest and growing the funds while we await the final geotechnical and engineering solutions.
