Annual Giving 2012

Thank you to all of you who supported Annual Giving 2012.  We thank our generous extended College community which supported us with a 60% increase in number of donors from 2010.

Your generosity this year has helped to:

¨       Support the Strowan House project requiring over $6 million of work to re-level the house; build new foundations and walls; complete roof and slate repairs; upgrade fire safety;

¨       Provide Scholarship support for outstanding academic, sporting and cultural students;

¨       Purchase specialty Physical Education equipment and safety radios for Castle Hill.

¨       Raise just under $200,000 in support of the new chapel.

St Andrew’s College thanks our parents, Old Collegians, students and friends who give in so many ways to make the College such a special place.

As I reflect back on another busy term, I am once again amazed at the variety of events and activities that we have managed to pack into eleven weeks.  Once again, there have been many reasons to celebrate, and successes to acknowledge.

Events have included Swimming and Athletics Sports Days, Founders’ Day, Governor-General’s Dinner, Boarding House Opening, Open Days and the creation of our very own ‘Lip Dub’, This is Us – all opportunities to enjoy our special StAC spirit and showcase some of our outstanding student talent.  Thank you to parents, PTA, Old Collegians and Board members who joined in on these occasions.

Let us show you around...

Chapel Update

Chapel Bridge SM

The College is ready to embark on rebuilding its Memorial Chapel which was badly damaged in the 2011 earthquakes. The Chapel is a significant facility that services the large St Andrew’s community which has a strong emotional connection to the present building. After a robust consultation process the decision has been made to deconstruct the existing Chapel and build a larger Chapel able to meet the College’s future needs.
