Secondary Level Courses

To provide for the needs of today’s current dancer, our Secondary School programmes offer quality balletic training plus choreographic

experiences across all core dance styles.

Quality teaching, examination accomplishments plus experiences with renowned guest tutors, excellent performance opportunities, and NCEA credits, all combine to provide a true robustness and rigour to the program.

Ballet and Dance Studies

In Years 9 and 10 we offer ‘Ballet and Dance Studies’ as a subject option.

Three classes per week provide an ideal opportunity for dedicated dancers to train and perform within their school day, and is a stepping stone into the ‘Company.’

The Ballet Company

In Years 11–13 we offer an elite co-curricular ‘Company’ (4+ hours/week). ‘Company’ students may take their Advanced Examination and gain qualification ‘letters’ (A.NZAMD), plus take the highest level exam ‘Solo Performance’.
