In the Classroom

Learning Support

Our Learning Support staff aim to build self-esteem and confidence in students experiencing difficulties with their studies. They do so in a safe, caring and non-judgemental environment. Support is based on individual student needs and is priority assessed.

The Learning Support programme is run by highly qualified teachers whose fields of expertise include thinking and learning extension programmes, special education needs, and student counselling and support. Reading and language support is offered for students experiencing difficulties and study support is available to senior students.

From The Rector

At the beginning of the year St Andrew’s set a College-wide theme for the ‘Year of Innovation & Collaboration’.

We committed to supporting and encouraging teachers to try different things, reach out to other networks and seek alliances which would widen students’ boundaries and imagination.

Triumph at Sheilah Winn

At this year’s Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival, St Andrew’s College entered two student directed pieces in the regional competition: a five minute scene from Macbeth and a 15 minute scene from Henry VI, Part 1.

Chapel Update

Last year we closed the chapter on the heartfelt story of the Memorial Chapel.

The Memorial Chapel has painstakingly been deconstructed and the area where it stood, levelled and grassed. The next phase is about rebuilding, and concept plans for the new Chapel are progressing to working drawings.
