Preparatory School

Staff in our Preparatory School understand that a high quality learning environment challenges and excites students, giving them the opportunity to reach their potential and acquire the values, skills and confidence necessary to become lifelong learners.

During their years in the Preparatory School students are supported and nurtured every step of the way, in a caring Christian environment. Students work their way through our carefully crafted literacy and numeracy programmes, encounter our Common Learning Values, experience music, dance, art, drama and languages and take advantage of our leading edge IT facilities. Our enrolments are carefully managed, which means individual needs are always addressed.

Our teachers are committed to you, and to their own professional development, which means you will learn from the very best.

In 2010, our Preparatory School underwent a spectacular future-focused transformation. Teaching and learning spaces were completely redesigned and rebuilt. The school now boasts a spacious, attractive and very flexible environment for social and academic development, wired throughout for the technology of tomorrow.

Chapel Update

Chapel Bridge SM

The College is ready to embark on rebuilding its Chapel which was badly damaged in the 2011 earthquakes. The Chapel is a significant facility that services the large St Andrew’s community which has a strong emotional connection to the present building. After a robust consultation process the decision has been made to deconstruct the existing Chapel and build a larger Chapel able to meet the College’s future needs.
