Book review written by Teacher in Charge of Rowing and Head of Elite Sports Programme, Mr Riley Gain

I stumbled across Red Notice when searching for a new book to read on my Kindle and I was not disappointed. It is a fantastic nonfiction book that delves into corruption at the highest level in Russia.

Bill Browder, a hugely successful hedge fund manager, becomes Russia’s most wanted man when he relentlessly fights against Vladimir Putin’s corrupt government. In doing so he puts himself, his colleagues and his family in danger. The writing of this book is part of his security plan to make sure as many people as possible know about his potential demise and who will be responsible for it.

This is a real page turner and at times it is hard to believe this is an actual account of events and not a fictional thriller. I highly recommend this book for anyone even slightly interested in Russian politics and Putin’s corruption.

Browder, B. (2015). Red Notice.
