At St Andrew’s College you can select Music as a subject from Year 9. We have a highly regarded music programme that allows students to develop skills in arranging, composition, theory and performance.
At senior levels, students can specialise their programme to meet their unique musical strengths and interests. We have a strong emphasis on performance and composition and regularly run masterclasses for our students. NCEA/senior levels learn in project-based learning.
St Andrew’s is one of the first schools in the country to implement a full music technology component into its curriculum. This is particularly important for students wishing to work in the modern music industry.
We have a leading scholarship music programme. Students regularly gain NCEA Music scholarships.
