Rowing continues to go from strength to strength at St Andrew's College. The squad achieved significant successes at the 2021 Maadi Cup regatta with one gold, silver and four bronze medals. The energy, drive and enthusiasm of the rowing squad and the staff, coaches and supporters have led to unprecedented numbers at St Andrew's with 63 new rowers taking up the sport, and approximately 120 rowers in total, in the 2021/2022 season.
Rowing is genuinely for all genders. The recent success at the Tokyo Olympic Games by both the women’s and men’s squads has illustrated this in the best possible way to New Zealanders. St Andrew’s 'Life is Co-ed' motto fits this bill perfectly and at St Andrew’s College rowing we are working hard to develop the best co-ed secondary school rowing programme across Aotearoa.
The growth in the rowing club is a tremendously positive development for the health, welfare and spirit of the College but comes at a significant cost in equipment and logistics. We need your support to sustain and grow rowing at St Andrew's.
We are asking supporters of St Andrew's College Rowing to show their support by becoming a member of the St Andrew's College Rowing Supporters' Club and paying a sub of $250 per year for two years. In return supporters will:
