Academic tuition fee reductions are available to students of outstanding sport or cultural ability, supported by sound academic progress. These scholarships are offered to incoming students in Years 11, 12 and 13.
Academic tuition fee reductions are available to students of outstanding ability in cultural or sporting areas, and supported by favourable academic progress and achievement, who are not already attending St Andrew’s College.
All scholarships represent a subsidy on tuition fees. The amount of fee reduction will depend on the all-round or specific qualities of the applicant and will be in the form of an offer made, in writing, by the Head of the Secondary School. There is no charge for applying for a sporting/cultural scholarship, but there is a $1500 acceptance fee if an offer of enrolment is made for 2023, which is applicable to all students entering the Secondary School, including scholarship winners.
The successful candidates for cultural scholarships in Music will be expected to take Music as a subject as part of their academic programme in Years 12 and 13.
The sporting/cultural scholarship decision made by the College is final.
Winter: rugby, netball, basketball, hockey, football
Summer: cricket, tennis
Please note:
2023 Years 11–13 Foundation Sports and Cultural Scholarship Application Closing Date: Sunday 21 August 2022, 5.00pm
All shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview in late September and early October 2022. The date and time of the interview will be advised by the Registrar. A staff member of the College may also watch the applicant’s performance in their field of excellence, i.e. strongest sport/cultural discipline.
A questionnaire will be sent to shortlisted applicants to be completed before their interview and to be discussed at the interview.
Parents are advised that all scholarships are subject to yearly review, in order to ensure that a student’s performance, both in co-curricular and academic progress, is in line with the conditions of the award.
