High Performance Fitness Centre

All students at St Andrew’s College are welcome, and encouraged to use the fully equipped High Performance Fitness Centre.

This is an outstanding facility, which supports the College’s Elite Sports programs and the general school population in maintaining personal health and fitness.

The fitness centre is also regularly utilised by our Physical Education classes, Te Waka groups, staff spin classes and the Elite Sports Studies students.

This high-tech 200sqm facility, which opened in 2016, has equipment you would find in a large commercial gymnasium, including 24 exercycles, treadmills, cross-trainers and rowing machines for cardio work.

There is also an extensive free weight area with dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells and top class squat racks and lifting platforms. The fitness centre is set up to allow students to engage in other fitness activities, such as circuit training, core exercises, stretching and recovery activities.
