On Friday April 5, the annual OCA Golf Tournament was held, once again, at the scenic Waitikiri Golf Club. With an impressive roster of 92 competitors vying for the prestigious trophy, the event did not disappoint.

The weather was kind, and amidst the friendly rivalry, Dave Steel (OC 1993) emerged victorious, playing alongside his father Peter (OC 1964). Mike “Scrump” Johnston (OC 1974) orchestrated a raffle that left attendees with arms full of prizes.

The tournament was not only about golf but also giving back, raising an estimated $5,000 for St. Andrew’s College Cricket. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who participated and contributed to the success of the day. Special recognition is due to Michael Simcock (OC 2011) for his tireless efforts in ensuring the event’s success. Also, to Rod Templeton (OC 1972) for hosting us again at Waitikiri.

As we look to the future, we would love to have more female participants, whether you’re an Old Girl, mother of, or friend of the College, you are all welcome to join us. We look forward to seeing you again next year so mark Friday 4 April 2025, on your calendars!
