Well-being Assembly

Another successful Well-being Week ended with the traditional Well‑being Assembly on Friday 12 June, which brought the PERMA‑V framework to life through student voice. Speakers reflected on how each pillar contributed to their own well‑being, helping to reinforce a shared understanding across the College.

A highlight of the assembly was the presentation of the prestigious Mahia te Aroha Character Awards, recognising students who embody St Andrew’s core value of Inclusivity, demonstrating kindness, and the ability to support and uplift others. These were received by Lilly May and Georgia Minson (both Year 9), Hayden Brown and Elisa Taulava (both Year 10), Louis O’Neill and Madeline‑Rose Topless (both Year 11), Maniah Taefu and Louis Tappin (both Year 12) and Cameron Steel and Isla Kempthorne (both Year 13).

The assembly concluded with the annual Deans’ Challenge, with the Deans engaging in a ‘Just Dance’ activity led by Middle School Leaders.

Prefects’ Assembly

The Prefects’ Assembly on Friday 26 June was a fantastic way to wrap up Term 2. The prefects put considerable time, effort, and imagination into creating and organising the assembly, which had the theme, Hunt for the Relics.

From lively performances to fun challenges, solving the mystery of the missing items, and the highly anticipated dance number which included a spectacular ‘ballet’ with the male prefects resplendent in tutus, it was an entertaining morning for the College community.

Another highlight was the Morning Comment from Prefect Amelia Blockley, who shared a thoughtful reflection on resilience. Her message encouraged ākonga to stay connected, take small steps forward, and never give up when faced with challenges.
