Anzac Day 2025
25 April 2025

Patsy and Keith Wardell (OC 1949), with Rector Mark Wilson
On Friday 25 April, the Centennial Chapel hosted our annual Anzac Day service, with around 550 attendees. This event holds significant importance for St Andrew’s College, having been established in 1917 during the final stages of World War I. This year, we also celebrate the 70th anniversary of the original Memorial Chapel, which was built to honour past pupils and staff who served and died during World War II.
Rector Mark Wilson acknowledged Old Collegian Daryll Fell (OC 1991), who served with both the New Zealand and Australian Defence Forces. His ongoing research has identified 687 Old Collegians and 26 teachers and staff who answered the call of duty during World War II (1939–1945).
We are proud to continue our College’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that the sacrifice and service of so many former students and staff are never forgotten.
Lest we forget.
