On Thursday 27 March our Old Collegians team faced off against alumni from Christ's College, St Margaret's, and Rangi Ruru for the Janet Storry shield. This historic competition, which began in April 1930, hadn't been contested since 2016.
In Round One against Christ's College, we secured 3 out of 4 doubles wins, with the 4th match being a closely fought battle, made even tougher by driving rain. Unfortunately, the tournament was called off before the two rounds of mixed doubles could begin.
This fabulous team is looking forward to next year’s competition, and hopefully reclaiming the shield from the current holders, Rangi Ruru.
