On Monday 24 August, around 40 Old Collegians gathered at The Lighterman in King's Cross, London, for a special evening with Rector Mark Wilson and his wife, Judi.

It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout, with attendees representing St Andrew's College years spanning from 1961 to 2023. Set against a beautiful London summer evening, the gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow Old Collegians, share memories, and celebrate being part of the St Andrew's community.

The conversations throughout the evening highlighted the diverse paths our alumni have taken since leaving the College. Among those attending were professionals working in finance and law, alongside actors, writers, a priest, sportspeople, property developers, and social media influencers. It was a wonderful reflection of the wide range of opportunities and experiences pursued by Old Collegians around the world.

Many alumni also spoke warmly about the teachers who had made a lasting impact during their time at St Andrew's. Among those mentioned was current staff member Brett Clark, who was fondly remembered for the guidance, encouragement, and support he provided during their school years.

It was also great to have Gemma Lewis (OC 2023) attend, who was in London from Christchurch after being selected for the Open New Zealand Mounted Games Team in France in August.

The evening was a great success, with attendees enjoying the opportunity to catch up with old friends, make new connections, and meet Mark and Judi.

A sincere thank you to everyone who came and helped make the evening such a success. It was wonderful to see so many members of our St Andrew's community coming together on the other side of the world, and we look forward to building on the success of this event with more opportunities for Old Collegians to connect in London in the future.
