To truly grasp the spirit of St Andrew’s, you need to immerse yourself firsthand at one of our Open Days. Each March, we welcome families onto our campus for our annual Open Days when you will be guided by knowledgeable students who showcase our vibrant community. You will explore our state-of-the-art facilities, engage with staff and students, and gain invaluable insights into life at St Andrew's.

Secondary School Open Day and
Boarding House Tour

St Andrew’s College holds its annual Secondary School Open Day each year, offering families the opportunity to experience life at the College and learn more about our Secondary School (Years 9 to 13).

Visitors enjoy tours led by our expert student guides, showcasing a wide range of facilities and learning spaces. Families can experience lessons in action, demonstrations and sports training sessions, and explore key areas of the campus including the Music Department, TV and Media Studio, High‑Performance Fitness Centre, Strowan House, Ngā Toi – Performing Arts Centre, and the Centennial Chapel. The event provides a comprehensive overview of the College’s academic, cultural, and sporting opportunities.

Families interested in boarding are also invited to attend a dedicated Boarding House tour, where they can meet our boarding staff and view the modern facilities.

The Open Day concludes with an address from the Rector in the Centennial Chapel, highlighting the College’s vision and the exceptional opportunities available for students at St Andrew’s.

Preparatory School and Pre-school Open Day

St Andrew’s College holds its annual Preparatory School Open Day each year, offering families the opportunity to experience the learning environment in the Pre‑school and Years 1 to 8.

In the Pre‑school, staff provide personalised tours, while enthusiastic student guides lead tours of the facilities for Years 1 to 8. Visitors can observe classroom demonstrations and see regular lessons in action.

Families also explore our specialist facilities for Art, Music, Drama, Dance, Science, Food Technology, and individual Music tuition, along with outdoor sports and playground areas, gaining a comprehensive view of the Preparatory School’s offerings.

Timeline for Year 9 2027 Enrolments

Friday 13 March 2026:

  • Applications close for Year 9 day and boarding students.

Friday 20 March 2026:

  • Applications close for Years 7 and 9 scholarships.

Sunday 16 August 2026:

  • Applications close for Years 10-13 students and Years 11–13 scholarships.
