International Tuition Fees

Tuition Fees for International Students

(NZ$ per annum. Includes a New Zealand Goods and Services Tax)

Excluded from these fees are: NCEA (external exam) fees, purchases at the College Shop (uniform, sports uniform, personal stationery etc.), doctors’ fees, pharmacy charges, sports tours, taxis (personal), Outdoor Education camp charges, overnight field trips, lost and/or damaged texts/library books, photography/TV/film and other specialist course fees.

Application Fee

$250 (non-refundable)

Acceptance of Place Fee

$500 (non-refundable)

Boarding Fees (Years 9–13)

(NZ$ per annum. Includes a New Zealand Goods and Services Tax. Paid in addition to tuition fees.)


A disbursement bond of $2000 is required when tuition fees are paid. This will be credited to the student's final account. All disbursements are the responsibility of the student and are to be paid monthly.

Home Stay Fee

$333.50 (including GST) per week plus $10.00 administration fee per week.

NCEA Examination Fees

$383.30 for 48 or more credits (approximately); $102.20 per subject for scholarship entry.


The International Student Travel Insurance is mandatory for all international students under the Code of Practice 2016. Parents are welcome to organise their child’s travel insurance, or St Andrew’s College will provide this service at an annual fee of approximately $500, this may change due to the time of stay for each student. $4000 per academic year

Payment of International Student Fees

International student fees are payable in full and in advance by 30 November of the year preceding tuition.
