Jack Duff

Fresh from an Australian tour of Shrek the Musical, successful professional musical theatre actor Jack Duff says he loved being a Drama student at St Andrew’s, where his teachers were instrumental in supporting his pathway to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in Melbourne. That experience helped propel him towards professional success.

Since graduating from the intense and highly specialised degree in 2019, Jack has worked in major musical productions in Australia, New Zealand and internationally, including a leading role in Cats the Musical onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, where he performed for eight months. Another career highlight was performing in Something Rotten at The Court Theatre several years ago. Jack is set to perform in another musical later this year, which will take him to Auckland.

Alongside auditioning for further work in Australia, Jack is also studying towards a Master of Global Media and Communications at the University of Melbourne, broadening his opportunities within the creative industries. Once he has completed his Master’s degree, Jack hopes to explore professional opportunities in London and elsewhere in Europe, where the arts scene is vibrant and exciting, although he says his heart ultimately lies in Melbourne.
