Talented actor, musician and singer Tamaroa Connelly says he often reflects on how well his Drama studies at St Andrew’s prepared him for further study. Now in his second year at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, where he is working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting), Tamaroa recalls many moments during his first year in the high‑quality programme when he thought, “I already did this in secondary school.”
The opportunity to perform in high‑quality productions with top‑class resources at St Andrew’s has enabled Tamaroa to confidently contribute to the creative process and feel at ease when working in professional‑level studios in Australia. He is gaining experience across a wide range of disciplines, including Shakespeare, film acting, heightened text, playwriting, and accent and dialect work.
Tamaroa’s long‑term goal is to complete his degree and secure representation with a reputable Australian agent to pursue acting work. Alternatively, he may move to the United Kingdom to either complete a Master’s degree in Performance or work as an actor there.
